It is sometimes difficult to download the application we are looking for. Imitations are present on the Google Play Store. In addition of getting revenue to their author through advertising, these misleading apps can be used to study your movements, copy your password, and even more.

A fake application is an application whose name and logo have been designed to missleadingly look like an existing application. To avoid downloading a fake application you should validate the following points:

– Does the application logo match the application logo you want to download?

– Does the name of the publisher match the name of the application you want to install?

– Are the numbers of votes, downloads and comments representative of the application you want to download?

– Verify that the authorizations requested by the application are reasonable.

Before installing an app, make sure that you have double checked properly the content!
